Marketing Ideas to Keep Your Customers Coming Back

While it’s always important to advertise and promote your business to new potential customers, it’s just as important not to forget your old, loyal customers. The Girl Scout song “make new friends, but keep the old, one is silver and the other’s gold” immediately came to mind while writing this article. As a business owner, you must find ways to keep your new and “old” customers feeling special and appreciated. Here are a few marketing ideas to keep both your “silver” and “gold” customers coming back for more:
1) Punch Cards or Coupons: After completing a sale, offer your customers punch cards or coupons for their future purchases. Remember to include an expiration date to ensure your customers return sooner rather than later.

2)The Mystery Envelope Promotion: After completing a sale provide your customers with a sealed envelope containing either 10%, 20% or 50% off their next visit. The envelope is only valid on their next visit and must be opened by a store employee. This creates a bit of excitement and mystery for your customers, causing them to rush back to your store.
3) After-Hours Sales: Send personalized invitations to your new and old customers inviting them to an exclusive “After-Hours Sale and Reception.” Treat your customers to tasty snacks and drinks while they browse your latest inventory.

Do you have your own marketing ideas to help keep your customers coming back? Please leave a comment, we would love to hear from you!
